Ruby Roo — Grizzly Kiki

Channelling a variety of pop-culture and fashion references, Ruby is a bombastic combination of Grey Gardens, Barbra Streisand, and all things "Rich White Lady." An expert at clutching her pearls at just the right moment, over the past two years Ruby has ascended through the ranks of New York's drag society to become one of the most recognizable and beautiful faces around. We interviewed her in her luxurious drag room (watch out Barbra, she's coming for your underground mall!!!) while she was primping for her weekly Monday show, "Mondays", at Brooklyn Bar TNT with Thorgy Thor. Her aesthetic is as calculated, thought out and intentional as the delicately arched brows she paints on with a color named "Nuts."
