Notes On The Met Gala

"One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art." ~ Oscar Wilde

The "First Monday In May," "Party Of The Year," & "Met Gala" are all names for New York City's most exclusive social event. Each year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute throws a grand affair to celebrate the opening of its Spring exhibition & raise money for the department. Held to inaugurate the exhibition, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," the 2019 Met Gala dress code was "Studied Triviality," challenging attendees to compete for the spotlight in the campiest creations ever seen on the steps of the Met.

Join us as we discuss our favorite looks from this year's Met Gala, why we think they best adhered to the theme of the exhibition, and which looks fell a bit short.
